According to the images published by the Presidential Administration, Klaus Iohannis has talked with the United States of America president Joe Biden in the room where the extraordinary meeting of the heads of state and government of the NATO member countries is taking place.

Next to the two heads of state are NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg, as well as the deputy secretary general of the North Atlantic Alliance, Mircea Geoana.

NATO has approved the battle group that will be positioned in Romania, Klaus Iohannis had said before the meeting. He said he was "very happy that it had been decided so quickly".

"We already have, before the summit, a very good news. You have probably learned, according to secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg's statement, that NATO has already approved the battle group that will be positioned in Romania. It is the battle group that we have called for", said Klaus Iohannis ahead of the special meeting of NATO heads of state and government.
