A military drone has crashed near Câmpia Turzii

A military drone has crashed on Thursday near the military unit in Câmpia Turzii, Cluj county, have said for MEDIAFAX the Romanian Defence Ministry representatives.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defence, Costi Spânu, a MQ9 Ripper military drone has crashed.

There are no injuries or property damage.

Such military drones operate from Câmpia Turzii Air Base 71. "The drone is not armed. It fell about three kilometers south of the Air Base runway at around 14.15" (11.15 GMT), Spânu said.
